This session will explore how real-world threat actors identify, access, and exploit industrial environments, as well as the solutions that defenders and engineers can use to reduce the impact of these attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using verified incidents, open-source intelligence, and current threat reports, we will follow the attacker\u2019s journey\u2014from reconnaissance to compromise. Attendees will gain an understanding of the threat landscape and the most effective defense strategies against modern adversary tactics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Speaker Bio:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Markus Mueller is a committed Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity leader and practitioner with nearly 25 years of experience helping organizations secure and enhance their industrial environments. His career has concentrated on the manufacturing and utility sectors, including power generation, transmission, and distribution\u2014covering thermal, hydro, solar, and wind sources\u2014as well as water, wastewater, and gas systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Markus specializes in developing resilient OT cybersecurity programs that adhere to industry best practices and regulatory standards, including IEC 62443, NIST, and NERC CIP. He has also led engagements including OT incident response, security assessments, risk management, and threat intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his current role as Field CISO at Nozomi Networks, Markus works with strategic customers to ensure that our most critical infrastructure remains safe, reliable, and secure.
